Gilson College is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic VCE Psychology Teacher (with the ability to teach English and Humanities) to join the Secondary team at Gilson College. The successful candidate will demonstrate that they:

  • Plan, prepare and teach programs to achieve specific student outcomes
  • Use critical reflection to improve the knowledge, learning and skills of students
  • Use multiple sources of feedback on their classroom practice to inform their professional learning goals
  • Show a willingness to work collaboratively with colleagues to improve teaching and learning within the school and the wider Seventh-day Adventist school system
  • Can support and actively promote, and not undermine, the Christian-based values and ethos of the College based on the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church
  • Have the capacity to teach the Australian curriculum in the context of the college's Christian-based ethos
  • Be able to plan for and lead daily Christian-based class devotions to students

  • Current VIT registration and relevant teaching qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Education
  • VIT Registered Teacher

The salary range is $86-128k based on years of experience.
