Position:

Gilson College is seeking an enthusiastic Laboratory Technician to support our Science Teachers in delivering high-quality learning outcomes through effective management of the Science laboratories.

About the Role: This role is offered on a permanent part-time basis (five days a week), during term weeks. Applicants must hold a Cert IV in Laboratory Techniques or its equivalent. The successful applicant will demonstrate a thorough knowledge of OHS regulations (including chemical storage). Prior experience in a school Science laboratory environment is preferable.

Key Responsibilities:

Support Science teachers by maintaining an organised, safe, and efficient laboratory environment.

Assist with preparing materials and setting up equipment for practical Science lessons.

Can support and actively promote, and not undermine, the Christian-based values and ethos of the College based on the mission of the Seventh-day Adventist Church

Qualifications:

Certificate IV in Laboratory Techniques (or equivalent).

Strong understanding of OHS regulations, including safe chemical storage.

Previous experience in a school Science lab setting is highly preferred.
