Studying at Gilson College
In Years 11 and 12, students complete the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE), an internationally recognised qualification for university entrance. Melbourne is home to several world-class universities for those who wish to continue their education in Australia.

AEAS entrance test
International applicants must sit an entrance test administered by Australian Education Assessment Services (AEAS). This can often be done in your home country.

School entrance test
Students may then be invited to visit the College to sit an entrance test and meet with the College Principal as part of the application process.
Step five
Letter of offer
If your application is successful, we will send you a letter of offer. Offers must be accepted and associated fees paid within the timeframe outlined in the offer letter.
Visa and Health Cover
On payment of the fees outlined in the College’s letter of offer, you will be issued a Confirmation of Enrolment (CoE) so that you can apply for a student visa. In some cases, students may be able to apply for a student visa from within Australia.
The College will arrange health cover for the duration of the student’s schooling (course length).
Education agents
You are welcome to apply directly to Gilson College. The College currently does not use Education Agents for overseas student applicants.
