At Gilson College Children's’ Centre we value childhood. We recognise that childhood is a precious time rich in curiosity and creativity. So, we do not rush children. We provide an educational environment that is developmentally appropriate for each child. We acknowledge that an important role of our centre is to provide an opportunity for creative expression. Each child will play in a way that expresses his or her own passions, traditions and beliefs. In this way, each group will have its own special feel, and identity and should remain dynamic and exciting.
We will also engage with the diversity of our community. We are committed to implementing sustainability in learning and practice. Gilson College Children's’ Centre provides an Integrated Kinder program in a Long Day Care Own centre is owned and operated by the Seventh-day Adventist Schools (Victoria)Ltd and operates alongside Gilson College. Your child will participate in a partnership with the primary school through Year 5 Buddy program, visits to the library, PMP gym program, use of sporting grounds, and joining in Chapels and Special Day activities. This engagement will foster and create awareness of belonging to a larger community of learning for life.
